Government eviction leaves 20 families homeless

Government eviction over houses on the disputed land at Jebres near Taman Cerdas on Thursday (10/11) left around 20 families homeless.

The dispute over the land near Taman Cerdas ended up evicting around 20 families from their houses without any place to go, forcing families to stay in available tents set on top of the remains of their houses or on the open road.

The disputed land is going to be used for Technopark expansion, but the land was not allocated for Technopark and was occupied by the residents that are still in the process to certificate their land. This, however, did not stop the government from evicting the residents.

“Many of us have tried to certificate our land, but the government made the process difficult for us to do so,” said Pujianto, one of the evicted resident, “They also ask for an unreasonable price for the certification that was supposed to be free”

One of the residents said that the government promised rooms in Rusunawa at Mojosongo on top of the compensation, but when checking the flat, they found out that the flat was already full. The government offers compensation, but the compensation is insufficient for the evicted residents

Pre-event 3rd Dominart: Morning Flashmob Energizes Solo Car Free Day

3rd Dominart art exhibition organizer sponsored by Bank BTN held morning flashmob with visitors on October 14, 2018, at Solo Car Free Day.

Nafisa, the leader of the event, started the event at 08.00 a.m. Visitors who want to exercise together followed the flashmob. 

Not just jazz up the Solo Car Free Day, the event was also held to promote an event that will be held called 3rd Dominart art exhibition on October 24-27, 2018 at Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah.

Alfiana, one of the organizer, said that they were very happy because of the feedback from the visitors.

“The flashmob is very fun and makes healthy,” said Herlina after following the morning flashmob.

“Thank you for the all good feedback and we hope that all of you came to our art exhibition,” said Nafisa as the leader of the event.

3rd Solo International Coffee Day Invites 20 local cafe for coffee giveaway

To celebrate International Coffee Day, KopiSolo Community organized the 3rd Solo International Coffee Day and invited more than 20 local cafes for coffee giveaway to every attendee at Triwindu market, Monday (10/01/2018) Night.

There were more than 20 local caffee shops and cafe operating at Soloraya taken part to celeberate the event such as Sekutu Kopi, Cold n Brew, Tjolo Koffie, Soft Kopi, Koeslan's Coffee & Roastery, Sakaw Coffe & Bites, Srivijava, Jox's Coffe, Hakiki Coffee & Goodnes, Kopi Si Budi, Toko Kopi Podjok, Mounthearted, and many others. Not only to celebrate International Coffee Day, but these coffee shops and cafes also tried to socialize coffee via local cafes that operate at Solo Raya. The coffee shops and cafes promoted themselves  by giving out small cups of coffee brewed on the spot by each coffee shop and cafe at each tent on their own provided stands.

Aldi, one of the atendees, said that he was very fascinated with the event.

"I'm actually a coffee lover, but stopped because of health issues," said Aldi  "After trying the traditional Sulawesi coffee, I'm interested to drink some more coffee"

At the middle of the event, the organizer opened the opportunity to donate for earthquake victims at Central Sulawesi that recently happened. The attendees could buy some coffee beans on a separate place from the giveaway.

Whether the event actually helps boost sales on local coffee shops and cafes or spark people’s interest in coffee has yet to be known, but there were hundreds of people attending the festival and many queued at each stands for free coffee.

Bakmi Capcay Pak Bambang : Hidden Heaven in the back region of UNS

Tasty, Simple, and Inexpensive, but hidden is an accurate word to describe this simple restaurant.  Bakmi Capcay Pak Bambang located at Gang Sejahtera 5 RT02 RW XIX, Jebres, Surakarta became one of main culinary destination.

Mr. Bambang started this business in May 2012, he first started as a street vendor but then moved his business to his house in 2015. Even when cooking as a street vendor, he kept developing and improving the quality of his products even today.

Costumers will be presented with local foods like Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, Capcay, and the more contemporary food like Mawut Fried Rice which is a dish that adds noodles to fried rice and it’s alternative version, Magelangan, which add rice to Fried Noodles, the seasonings are different between one food to another. Customers can aslo order the more experimental menu like Nasdog Capcay, which cooks rice with Capcay, different from just adding cooked Capcay into the rice or vice versa. Even though in the 21st century people uses gas to cook, Mr. Bambang still preserving the use of charcoal to cook. The use of charcoal to cook itself adds to the aroma of the food.

Because Mr. Bambang made his own house as a diner, eating there adds just the right amount of homelike atmosphere, improving the food taste much more homemade.

The price for each food also really inexpensive, ranging only at 8000 IDR -  9000 IDR per meal or equal to  0.50 USD - 0.60 USD which is really cheap, and if you want a bigger size, you can add 1000 IDR or equal to 0.06 USD.

“I may add some menu that will involve barberqueing, or maybe penyetan,” said Mr. Bambang when asked whether he will add another food to the menu or not “Back when I was still a street vendor many customers seem to enjoy tempe penyet”. Mr. Bambang also added Nasdog Capcay because one of his best selling foods is Capcay.

Although Capcay sold many, other things in the menu are also popular, “I came here often because I like the Fried Rice” said Adestito (19) on the other account, Fernando (20) said that he came here for the magelangan.

Truly, Bakmi Capcay Pak Bambang is one diner worth to visit to know how it captivates its customer’s heart, maybe it will captivate yours too.

Merunduk Bibit Bunga Melati

Sambil menunggu instalasi ICS SWH berikutnya, penulis akan menyampaikan cara merunduk bunga melati . Bunga melati dikenal sebagai puspa bangsa, karena baunya yang harus dan khas. Bagi masyarakat Jawa umumnya dan masyarakat Solo khususnya bunga melati mempunyai peran penting dalam kasanah budaya. Bunga melati selalu hadir dalam setiap pesta pernikahan sebagai pelengkap busana  penganten. Penulis memiliki 1 pot besar melati di halaman yang rajin berbunga, maka penulis berusaha memperbanyak melati tersebut dengan merunduk. Adapun langkah-langkah adalah sebagai berikut :
1.Memilih cabang yang sudah ada calon akar dan siapkan penjepit dari bambu atau plastik

Kemudian benamkan penjepit bersama batang yang dipilih ke dalam tanah jaga kelembabannya jangan sampai kering dengan tetap menyirami.
2. Setelah tiga minggu bongkar hasil rundukan dengan hati - hati jangan sampai memutuskan akar yang sudah tumbuh, caranya jenuhi dengan air sehingga tanah akan terpisah dari perakaran.

Apabila berhasil maka akan terbentuk tiga perkaran pokok yang berwarna putih

3. Kemudian siapkan pot beserta tanah untuk pindah tanam.

4. Jaga batang yang masih labil dengan penyangga sampai perakaran berkembang sempurna

5. Sirami pagi dan sore secara teratur dan periksa hama ulat yang biasa meranggas daun bunga melati

Intsalasi ICS SWH ukuran 1 m x 4 m

Kali ini penulis akan meyampaikan hasil instalasi ICS SWH tahap 2. Apabila dalam instalasi pertama dengan ukuran 1 m x 2 m , kali ini penulis mencoba untuk memperpanjang ukuran pipa pvc 3 inchi menjadi 4 m. Penulis melakukan ini dengan pertimbangan untuk menghemat bahan terutama sambungan juga kebutuhan air hangat yang lebih banyak yaitu untuk 6 orang. Adapun tahap - tahap yang telah dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut

1. Tahap I pembuatan rangka dengan memanfaatkan kayu bekas papan cor dan triplek sebagai insulasi panas

2. Tahap II penyambungan dengan knee 3 inchi dilanjutkan dengan pengecatan dengan cat pylox warna hitam dof

3. Tahap III pengecatan di seluruh permukaan pipa untuk memperkuat efek absorbsi panas

4. Tahap IV pemasangan talang karpet warna hitam sebagai absorsben ( penyerap panas yang efektif)

5. TahapV pemasangan pipa pvc dengan sambungan model serpentin ( seperti huruf s), desain ini memang baru penulis lakukan kali ini

6. Tahap VI uji kebocoran pada sambungan pipa , ternyata sambungan sempurna sehingga tinggal uji stabilitas suhu optimal

7. Tahap VII pemasangan glassing (penutup bening) kali ini penulis gunakan pvc gelombang clear

8. Tahap VIII instalasi pipa air panas ke kamar mandi dengan menggunakan pipa pvc 1/2 inchi

9. Tahap IX pemasangan water tower untuk mendorong air panas dari swh ics sampai ke kamar mandi. Lokasi instalasi kali ini aliran air PDAM hanya mengalir malam hari maka perlu tampungan air untuk bisa mendorong air panas ke kamar mandi.

Inilah cucu tersayang yang menemani penulis menginstal jaringan air hangat hingga selesai Abigail Calista Putri Nirwana ( umur 3 tahun)

Dan ini cucu penulis yang cerdas selalu menemani penulis mengerjakan instalasi dari awal hingga akhir Narendra ( umur 1,5 tahun )
EVALUASI
Dari instalasi jaringan Integral Collector Storage System ukuran 1 m x 4 m mampu menyediakan air hangat sehari dalam tiga periode, jam 9, 11,13 dan15. Dalam setiap periode diperoleh air hangat 6 ember bak cuci pakaian, dengan kondisi ini maka kebutuhan iar hangat untuk 6 orang telah tercukupi bahkan berlebih. Lokasi insatalasi ini mulai mendapat penyinaran matahari mulai jam 7 pagi sampai jam 4 sore . Sampai saat penulisan ini proyek ini belum selesai karena penulis harus menyempurnakan glassing dan penampungan air hangat yang berlebih. Suhu optimal yang dicapai adalah 55 derajad Celcius sedangkan dalam kondisi insulasi dan glassing yang belum selesai air hangat bisa dinikmati sampai jam 9 malam. Instalasi ini kami laksanakan pada awal bulan september 2015 di kampung Ngoresan RT 01/XVIII Kelurahan Jebres Kota Surakarta. Nagi rekan-rekan yang tertarik boleh melihat langsung ke lokasi untuk melihat yang menanyakan hal-hal prinsip yang perlu dipahami, salam lestari bumiku mari optimalkan penggunaan renewable energy secara mandiri.

ANJANGSANA PKK KELURAHAN JEBRES DI RW XIX GULON

Sambil menunggu proyek ICS SWH tahap 2 kali ini penulis akan menyampaikan kegiatan di wilayah RW XIX Gulon Kel.Jebres, Kec. Jebres Kota Surakarta. Kegiatan yang dimaksud adalah Anjangsana PKK tiap satu bulan sekali yang diadakan secara bergilir. Pada hari minggu tanggal 31 Mei 2015 giliran di RW XIX tempat tinggalku. Kebetulan ayahku adalah ketua RW sehingga harus banyak mengadakan persiapan agar acara dapat berjalan dengan sukses dan lancar.Thema Anjangsana kali ini adalah Lomba Memasak B2SA/kudapan Bahan Non Beras, dan Non Gandum, Bahan Dasar Kacang-kacangan. Adapun acara tersebut kebetulan bersamaan dengan ulang tahun Bapak Lurah Kelurahan Jebres, sehingga ayahku menyiapkan hadiah khusus berupa watermelon carving untuk ucapan selamat ulang tahun

Lomba yang dilaksanakan menyertakan hiasan penyerta sajian atau garnish yang terbuat dari sayur-sayuran yang didesain oleh ayahku

Penyajian B2SA dari RW XIX termasuk dalam nominasi juara di antara peserta lainnya dari 36 RW di Kelurahan Jebres

Keputusan Dewan Juri akhirnya menempatkan penyajian B2SA dari RW XIX menjadi Juara II hadiah diserahkan oleh Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK Kelurahan Jebres Ibu Kristina Ari Dwi Daryatmo STTP

Inilah para juara Lomba memasak B2SA dalam anjangsana PKK di RW XIX Gulon, nampak Ibu Evy Octavia Hanafi mewakili PKK RW XIX menerima hadiah dari Panitia Lomba.

Bapak Ari Dwi Daryatmo selaku Kepala Kelurahan Jebres sedang memotong semangka pada acara Anjangsana PKK bertepatan dengan ulang tahun beliau yang ke 36 semoga sukses selalu
